Siller tabbed as Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Newbury College junior Herrel Siller, Jr. (Palo Alto, Calif.), is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week. Siller placed first for the third time this season as he claimed the top spot most recently at the Elms College Invitational on Sept. 22 with his 28:09 8K. In the process of winning the meet individually, Siller paced his team to their first team win in school history.

 

Cuba receives second Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas sophomore Angela Cuba (Holliday, Texas) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week. Cuba ran a 24:26 6K at the Texas NCAA Div. III State Cross Country Meet in Abilene, Texas over the weekend. Her impressive run placed her third in a field of 74 for the women’s race.

 

Lunger earns Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior forward Adam Lunger (Keller, Texas) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. In two victories for the 6-0-1 Crusaders, Lunger scored six goals and added a pair of assists. He netted four goals in an 11-0 win over Gallaudet University and added two goals and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Bridgewater College.

 

Lamb receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of California-Santa Cruz junior forward Annick Lamb (Santa Barbara, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week. Lamb scored the game-winning goal on Saturday as UC Santa Cruz beat the 21st ranked Chapman Panthers 1-0 in overtime. The goal was Lamb’s fifth of the year and third game-winner. With the win, the Lady Slugs improve to 4-2-1 on the season.

 

Wiecek named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – St. Joseph’s College (N.Y.) senior outside hitter Magdalena Wiecek (Queens, N.Y.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Wiecek helped keep the Lady Bears (4-0) perfect season in tact against previously undefeated Ramapo College (7-1). After dropping games one and two, their first losses of the season, Wiecek led the Lady Bears with 21 total kills (4.2 kpg), 10 digs (2.0 dpg), four assists and two service aces to win the final three games and ultimately the match.
